Knee Joint replacement is a surgical procedure to restore the surface of a knee damaged by arthritis. Metal and plastic parts are used to cover the ends of the bones that make up the knee joint with the patella. The procedure involves cutting away damaged bone and cartilage from your thighbone, shinbone, and kneecap and replacing it with an artificial joint (prosthesis) made of metal alloys, high-grade plastics, and polymers.
